University of New Orleans Charter Network Schools Closed

Capital One-UNO Charter Network schools are closed today due to the impact of Hurricane Ike.

The Capital One-UNO Charter Network includes Pierre Capdau-UNO Charter School, Pierre Capdau Early College High School, Medard Nelson-UNO Charter School and Gentilly Terrace Elementary.

All Charter Network personnel and students should continue to monitor the Charter Network website, www.unocharternetwork.net/emergency.php, for the latest information.

UNO Charter Network Schools ready to re-open Monday

Capital One-UNO Charter Network schools will re-open on Monday morning, September 8, for a full instructional day. Charter Network schools sustained minimal damage from Hurricane Gustav. While all services will be available on Monday, we anticipate not having the full fleet of buses available. We are asking parents to drop-off and pick-up their children on Monday and Tuesday until bus service is stabilized.

Capital One-UNO Charter Network schools will remain closed for the remainder of this week due to Hurricane Gustav. Classes will resume on Monday, September 8.

UNO Charter Network Schools closed Monday through Wednesday due to Hurricane Gustav

Capital One-UNO Charter Network schools will be closed at dismissal of class today, and will remain closed Tuesday and Wednesday due to Hurricane Gustav. Monday is the previously scheduled Labor Day holiday.

Classes are scheduled to resume on Thursday, September 4. All Charter Network personnel and students should monitor the Charter Network website, www.unocharternetwork.net/emergency.php, in the event of any changes.

UNO Charter Network Schools Open on Friday, August 29

All Capital One-UNO Charter Network schools will be open on Friday, August 29, 2008. As the Network receives updates from local and state agencies on Gustav’s path, we will make adjustments accordingly.

Please take all necessary precautions to ensure the safety of your children.
